Ow, My Heart! Pizza Hut's Hot Dog Stuffed Crust

Pizza Hut. Yummers. When I think of Pizza Hut I think of reading my butt off in the sixth grade...trying to win an eleven year old's most valuable ticket...a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut for reading X amount of books. Oh how I loved cashing in my reading tickets. We would post them on the walls of our classroom and I was so proud of the amount of books I read. But let's be realistic...I read all of those books for some greasy delicious pizza.

So when I heard about the hot dog stuffed pizza crust from Pizza Hut, you can just imagine my delight?...curiosity?...yes, that's it. I am so curious about this pizza that I almost want to fly myself to the UK just to try it. But, don't we like hot dogs in Canada? Why did Pizza Hut decide to try this out so far far away? The media attention I've seen on this calorie filled meal is insane.

And now I'm hearing word of a cheese burger stuffed crust in the Middle East. I know what you're thinking...what the? When I think of the Middle East and its food, I am most certainly NOT thinking of a pizza crust stuffed with a hamburger. I mean...that's like, impossible...right?

If you watch the above video, you'll see that I am not joking. Umm...I don't know about this one. There's only so many things that I'll accept on my pizza. It's a favourite treat of mine. I like the 'ol pepperoni classic. Perhaps for that very reason, Pizza Hut has decided to test out these things in different markets. Let's face it, we're kinda boring with our pizza on this side of the pond.

Different Taste for Different Taste Buds

When I was living in Japan, we used to go to the Pizza Hut in Tokyo (Ikebukuro to be exact) all the time. Finding just a regular North American pizza was almost impossible. There were so many choices and I really didn't mind testing each of these different pizzas. But when I got home...oh em gee. The taste of just a regular plain pizza was just awesome.

But come on Pizza Hut. We like hot dogs. We like pizza. I think you have our attention. So bring it on over here and I'm pretty sure it'll do well.

If you're a fan of the popular blog, This is Why You're Fat, you'd know that this really isn't the worst concoction to be created. I mean, there's hot dogs with onion rings rolled around them, deep fried stout beer cupcakes, the bacon mug, Cadbury creme eggs Benedict, etc.

And then there's this...the chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. OMGOMGOMG! Now that looks like something that should just be everywhere. Why haven't I ever seen/tried this before? I feel full already just looking at it.

On an unrelated note, I now feel the urge to get some exercise. I'm sure that losing 5 lbs. or so before you try any of these food items is recommended. :o
